Since he was little, Natsume has been able to see things nobody else can see. Spirits, otherworldly creatures that come in all shapes and sizes, otherwise known as youkai. At fifteen, he lives in the countryside with the Fujiwaras, returning the names of youkai written in the book he inherited from his grandmother: The Book of Friends.
